5/12/21 - This is an exquisite example of one of the most rare variations of FN Browning Model 1922 pistol. Chambered in 9mm, this is one of the few guns that was planned for manufacture and marking to the Dutch, but was captured by the Nazis and diverted to their military. It has the lone WaA613 proof on frame, and was one of about 3,000 such guns (most in 7.65mm). These guns are found with only the one waffenamt, and fit in a narrow serial range. Only pistols seized inside the plant of unfinished pistols on the manufacturing floor were accepted with the WaA613 proof. This pistol is documented by serial in FN Browning Pistols book by Anthony Vanderlinden, and is the earliest reported serial of this rare variation. It is all matching and original with the seldom seen 98-99% blue remaining. There are only minor hints of edge wear, and the bore and grips are mint. Just a superb example of a very rare Axis pistol that cannot be upgraded.
